What the kit does
The CMEX5 gives non-destructive quantitative moisture readings in concrete, using gravimetric testing as the baseline, and comparative readings to ASTM F2659. The infrared thermometer gives surface temperature, which with the CMEX5's built-in hygrometer shows dew point conditions at the slab.
Over Bluetooth, the Tramex Meters app geotags results, creates and shares reports, photos and charts, and mirrors the meter screen on your phone when the meter is on the extension handle.
Why an infrared thermometer in a coatings kit
Coating failures are often condensation failures. Surface temperature against ambient dew point decides whether a slab can be coated that day, and the infrared thermometer gives you the surface figure. Moisture content alone does not answer the question.
The CCIK is built on the digital CMEX5 with an infrared thermometer – an inspector's kit for assessing slabs before coating. The CCTK pairs the analogue CME5 with a DL-RHTA datalogger and a contact temperature probe, aimed at installers logging conditions across a job.
Does it include RH probes for ASTM F2170?
No. The CMEX5 accepts them – add the AP-F2170-B pack or individual probes, cable and liners.
Is a phone included?
No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.

Unless otherwise stated in the product description, The Moisture Meter Company allows the return of products for 7 days from delivery in the following cases:
physical damage to the product
the product is defective **(where no warranty is offered by the original manufacturer)
the product is significantly different from the description (wrong size, colour, quality or material related issues)
Unless otherwise stated in the product description the product must be in its original condition. Only unused, unaltered, not soiled products will be accepted, brand packaging should be intact, replacements will be made if the product is available within a reasonable time.
To return a product, you can raise a return request at by calling us on 1800 68 68 69 or by email at info@moisturemeters.com.au, and by providing the following details: Name and contact details, date of purchase, invoice number or order ID, images clearly demonstrating damage, or a description of the defect or missing and incomplete product.
After receiving your request The Moisture Meter Company will confirm the return request and will inform you about the pickup process. Please ensure that the product is in unused and original condition. Include all labels, original packing, and invoice along with the product.

Faulty products and manufacturing defects in most cases are warranted by the original manufacturer of the product. Call or email to determine if your product is covered under warranty.
