Moisture Meter Parts

Pins bend, retainers wear, cables fail and cases crack. A professional meter is built to be repaired, and keeping the right spares on hand means a broken pin does not stop a job.

This collection lists spare parts for the instruments we sell. It covers Delmhorst, Protimeter, Tramex, Wagner, Extech and Hygiena, and includes contact pins, pin retainers and chucks, cables and leads, calibration kits, covers and pin caps, carrying cases, stack probe parts, tools and replacement electrodes.

Ordering the right part

Identify the meter or electrode exactly. Pins and retainers are specific to the electrode they fit. A Delmhorst pin for a 26-ES slide hammer is not the same as a pin for a 2-E electrode, even when they look similar. The product titles name the electrode or meter each part fits.

Insulated or uninsulated pins. Replace like with like. Fitting uninsulated pins to an electrode designed for insulated pins changes what the reading means.

Buy pins in packs. Pins are a consumable on hardwood and concrete work. Carrying a spare set costs far less than a wasted trip.

Check calibration after repairs. After replacing pins or a lead, confirm the meter against its calibration check before relying on it. See checking your moisture meter is accurate.

Complete probes and electrodes are in electrodes and probes, and sensors, sleeves and cases in moisture meter accessories. If you cannot find a part for your meter, contact us with the model and we will check what is available.

Practical advice

A meter giving jumpy readings isn't necessarily a faulty meter. Start with the small things: pins that no longer make good contact, a damaged lead or a loose probe connection. Use the manufacturer's check procedure before replacing parts, and match the replacement to the exact instrument model rather than the brand name alone.
