The Tramex RIK Roofing Inspector Kit is built for roofing inspectors and waterproofing consultants. The RWS Roof and Wall Scanner checks moisture non-destructively in roofing and waterproofing systems to about 100 mm deep, and the CMEX5 and its probes cover concrete decks, timber decks and roofing materials, relative humidity and dew point.

What the kit does
The RWS gives point-of-contact, non-destructive checking of moisture conditions in roofing and waterproofing systems up to approximately 100 mm deep, per ASTM D7954. The CMEX5 measures moisture in concrete decks non-destructively, takes pin readings in timber decks and roofing materials (5 to 30% MC with the pin electrode), and reads relative humidity, ambient conditions and dew point with its probes. The infrared thermometer gives surface temperature.
The Tramex Meters app connects to the CMEX5 over Bluetooth to geotag results, create and share reports, photos and charts, and mirror the meter screen on your phone.

As RIK, plus the DEC Scanner, with a CMEX5 extension handle and a wheeled case
The difference is the DEC Scanner. The RIK is a handheld set for inspection and detail work. The RMK adds the large-format DEC Scanner, which reads to 152 mm and is what makes surveying an entire commercial flat roof in a day practical. If your work is single-building inspections, the RIK is enough; if you tender on roof surveys by area, the RMK pays for itself in time.
No. Impedance scanning does not work through conductive materials – some EPDM, butyl rubber and other conductive membranes, and hard coat stucco or wire mesh reinforced finishes. Check the membrane before relying on it.
Is a phone included?
No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.
Can I buy the components separately?
Yes – every instrument in the kit is also sold individually. The kit is generally better value and removes the risk of ordering an accessory with the wrong connector.

Unless otherwise stated in the product description, The Moisture Meter Company allows the return of products for 7 days from delivery in the following cases:
physical damage to the product
the product is defective **(where no warranty is offered by the original manufacturer)
the product is significantly different from the description (wrong size, colour, quality or material related issues)
Unless otherwise stated in the product description the product must be in its original condition. Only unused, unaltered, not soiled products will be accepted, brand packaging should be intact, replacements will be made if the product is available within a reasonable time.
To return a product, you can raise a return request at by calling us on 1800 68 68 69 or by email at info@moisturemeters.com.au, and by providing the following details: Name and contact details, date of purchase, invoice number or order ID, images clearly demonstrating damage, or a description of the defect or missing and incomplete product.
After receiving your request The Moisture Meter Company will confirm the return request and will inform you about the pickup process. Please ensure that the product is in unused and original condition. Include all labels, original packing, and invoice along with the product.
