The Tramex FBSK5.1 Feedback Datalogger Starter Kit is a compact kit for logging ambient and in-situ relative humidity, temperature, dew point and humidity ratio in buildings and building materials. It suits flooring installers, inspectors and restorers who want to start logging conditions at one point, then add probes as the work grows.
Kit contents
Per the Tramex FBSK5.1 kit data sheet (April 2025):
Tramex Meters app for Android and iOS (phone not included)
How it works
The DL-RHTX and the Tramex Meters app log up to 100,000 data point entries for relative humidity, temperature, dew point and grains per pound, sent over Bluetooth BLE to your mobile device. In the app you can view live readings, thermal conditions and psychrometric charts, and create and export spreadsheets, charts and reports. With the Hygro-i2 probe connected, the logger records conditions inside a material – such as a concrete slab, as used in ASTM F2170 testing – instead of the room.
The kit requires the Tramex Meters app and a compatible iOS or Android device.
Specifications
Memory
100,000 data point entries
Logging interval
Adjustable, 10 minutes to 1 hour
Transmission range
Up to 50 m line of sight, Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2
RH sensor
0 to 100% RH; ±1.5% RH (0 to 80%), ±2.0% RH (80 to 99%) at 25 °C; resolution 0.1%
Both include the DL-RHTX datalogger, the interface cable, and tripod and wall mounting. The EZ Kit can run a compliant ASTM F2170 test out of the box on a small floor; the Starter Kit is a single-point logging setup you add probes to.
Not a compliant one as supplied. The standard requires three test locations for the first 100 m², and this kit has one probe and no hole liners. The FBZK5.1 EZ Kit includes five probes and liners, or add hole liners and probes to this kit.
What is the tripod for?
Positioning the logger to record genuine ambient conditions in the space rather than conditions at floor level or against a wall, where readings are skewed by the surface.
Is the app free?
Yes. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.
