Tramex CTP contact temperature probe
A plug-in contact probe for measuring and logging surface temperature over time with the Tramex Feedback DataLoggers. Used alongside the logger's humidity sensor, it shows when a floor or wall surface is approaching dew point – the information flooring and coatings installers need on the day of application.
Why surface temperature matters
Ambient relative humidity and air temperature give you dew point. Surface temperature tells you whether a floor, wall or slab is below that dew point – which is the difference between a surface that will accept a coating or adhesive and one that is quietly condensing. A contact reading is more reliable than an infrared reading on shiny, dark or textured surfaces, where emissivity throws infrared off.
Compatibility
Tramex lists the CTP as a plug-in accessory for the Feedback DataLoggers:
With the probe connected, the Tramex Meters app shows contact temperature, estimated contact RH, ambient dew point and contact delta temperature.

Frequently asked questions
Contact probe or infrared thermometer?
Infrared is faster and reads from a distance, which suits scanning a large area. A contact probe is more accurate on surfaces where emissivity is uncertain, and it can log continuously. For a coating decision on a specific slab, contact is the safer reading; the IRT2 infrared thermometer is the better survey tool.
Does it work with a moisture meter?
Tramex lists it for the Feedback DataLoggers. If you want to use it with another Tramex instrument, contact us with the model and we will confirm compatibility rather than guess.
