Electrode handle for Delmhorst prods
The handle that the Delmhorst 830 series coaxial prods and the 831 and 832 pin prods mount into. Delmhorst supply the prods and the handle separately — a prod on its own cannot be connected to a meter.

Important — check what you are buying
If you have ordered a prod on its own and it will not connect to your meter, this is the missing part. Equally, if you already have an H-4, you only need the prod. The PX-30 paper moisture meter package is supplied with an H-4 handle as part of the kit.
The H-4 is not an electrode handle in general. It is specific to the prod range — the two-pin and hammer electrodes such as the 22-E and 26-ES have their own integral handles and do not use it.

Do I need this if I already have a prod?
Yes. Delmhorst supply the prods and the handle separately, and a prod on its own cannot be connected to a meter. If you are ordering an 830 series coaxial prod or an 831 or 832 pin prod for the first time, you need the handle too.
Does one handle serve several prods?
Yes. The prods mount into the same handle, so you buy the handle once and change prods for the application.
Is it compatible with electrodes as well?
No — electrodes such as the 21-E and 26-ES have their own handles and connect directly. The H-4 is specifically for the prod range.
